Learning Culture for Learning Impact

Build a stronger learning culture

The learning culture you create for adults shapes how they work together and support learning for ākonga.

The Leading Adult Learning team are excited to offer a new professional learning opportunity for principals and leadership teams.

This workshop gives you time to examine your school’s learning culture, strengthen your professional conversation skills, and apply your learning to a current leadership priority. It draws on Joan Dalton’s book, Learning Culture for Learning Impact.

The Invitation and learning intentions for the two days:

  • To examine your current school learning culture, inquire into highly effective learning cultures more deeply, and apply learnings to authentic needs in your school.

  • To further develop your learning talk capabilities to skillfully engage in important conversations that move learning forward.

  • To lead the leading of adults in ways that model how to build a strong learning culture for learning.

How the workshop works

While we will carefully plan a daily agenda, we adapt it based on what we learn from you during the programme. This ensures your needs are met and the experience remains relevant for you.

Each participant receives a copy of Learning Culture for Learning Impact.

The workshop is designed through our collaborative partnership with Joan Dalton.
