respect the unique context of the kura or school
honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi
identify and advance goals that support the principal or senior leader’s individual development needs and school strategic direction
be formative and learning-focused
affirm, critique and challenge evidence, thinking and practice
identify personal professional goals for the following year
assure the board of trustees that the principal or senior leader is focused on improving their own practice and advancing the school’s strategic goals.
