Your aromatawai PLD may include:

  • in-class support of kaiako to affirm and analyse own teaching practice in relation to ākonga learning

  • modelling mentoring conversations for pouako that aim to support kaiako and grow their teaching practice

  • workshops for all staff to build their knowledge of aromatawai and how ākonga can be activated in the construction of meaningful learning pathways

  • support for staff on the assessment and evaluation of meaningful learning pathways

  • support to strengthen assessment of ākonga, the collation and use of aggregated assessment information.

  • Tailored to your needs. No two kura or kāhui ako are the same. Our consultants will design support that’s just right for you.

  • Inquiry driven. We use a pakirehua approach to grow and improve the individual and collective capability of kaiako.

  • Informed by research and practice. We draw on our extensive knowledge of educational policy and practice. We use key documents such as Tatāiako. Cultural capability is the backbone of aromatawai and underpins our professional support.

  • In class modelling. We are comfortable in the classroom, modelling high-impact strategies, across the curriculum.

  • Evaluative. We develop indicators of success with you so that we can collectively track progress.
