Judith Wootton

Principal Advisor and Team Leader (Waikato & BoP - Waiariki)

Judith is a principal advisor for beginning principals of schools in the Waikato region.

She was a principal for 27 years, latterly in the King Country but mostly in Porirua East and in Lower Hutt. Her teaching included time in rural schools.

Judith has mentored first time principals for a number of years in the Wellington area and in South Waikato. As a principal, she enjoyed the opportunity to not only lead schools but also to help other leaders grow.

In 2014 Judith received accreditation as a facilitator of Open to Learning leadership which allows her to facilitate OTL Leadership workshops.

Judith has three adult children with only one living in New Zealand. She is lucky enough to have five grandchildren, three of whom live close by in Hamilton and two in China. Her other daughter lives in Melbourne. She travels when she can to spend time with family living out of NZ.

She enjoys a game of golf and following the grandchildren and their sporting ventures, as well as spending time with family and friends.
