Chris Fox
Chris is the principal advisor for Hawke’s Bay.
Chris moved to New Zealand from England over 18 years ago. He has worked in the education sector for over 30 years in a variety of national and international school settings.
Prior to joining Evaluation Associates Evaluation Associates | Te Huinga Kākākura Mātauranga, Chris was principal of Puketapu School in Napier for 15 years.
Chris has an MBA in Educational Management from Leicester University, UK. His thesis was on the effectiveness of professional development in schools. This has been a constant interest during his career. Before coming to Aotearoa New Zealand, Chris was seconded to Herefordshire Education Authority to coordinate professional development opportunities for schools and teachers across the region.

developing local curriculum.
Chris believes that building trusting, strong relationships is imperative for principals in their role as school leaders as they work on providing opportunities for success for all.
When not at work Chris enjoys being active in the outdoors: cycling, walking, golf, bowls and exploring the hidden gems of New Zealand and beyond.
He lives in Havelock North with his wife, Vicki, who is an adult educator. They have two adult children, one living in Melbourne and one in Wellington.
