Leading Adult Learning Pathways

Leading for Learning Futures: Pathways to Flourishing

Leading for future-fit learning and flourishing is at the heart of our work.

Drawing on the practical material from For the Love of Learning, our Leading Adult Learning (LAL) Pathways are year-long partnerships that help leadership teams translate these ideas into meaningful action. We work alongside leaders to bring future-fit learning, flourishing and transformative life capabilities to practice for both students learners and the adults who work with them.

Working alongside school communities in personalised, practical and flexible ways, we co-design these learning pathways to respond to each school's unique context, priorities, and aspirations.

Two pathways

Five interconnected areas for future-fit learning and flourishing

Regardless of which partnership option you choose, every Leading Adult Learning Pathway is built around five interconnected areas that strengthen leadership capability and support learner flourishing.

Five key pathways
Foundations of Community

Build a culture of relational trust, caring, shared values and norms where purposeful Learning Talk strengthens collaboration and creates meaningful, lasting learning impact.

Purpose, People and Place

Clarify why we are here as educators, what learning matters most, who we learn with, and where and how learning takes place.

Futures Thinking

Build collective understanding of the forces shaping education today and why some traditions no longer serve us. Explore preferred futures and reimagine learning for tomorrow.

Transformative Capabilities Vision

Develop a shared vision for the life capabilities learners need to flourish in an increasingly complex world.

Future-Fit Learning and Teaching

Strengthen learning and teaching practices that enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities needed for flourishing futures.

What a year-long partnership could look like

Every Leading Adult Learning Pathway is co-designed with your leadership team and adapted to your school's context. While each school's journey will be unique, a typical partnership might unfold like this.

Year-long partnership journey

Flexible ways of working

Every pathway is tailored to your context and aspirations.

Together, we'll design the right mix of support to meet your goals. This may include in-school facilitation, collaborative workshops, leadership coaching, online learning and implementation support.
