Bobby has recently joined our whānau at Evaluation Associates | Te Huinga Kākākura Mātauranga as Kaihautu Māori in our Executive Leadership Team. Bobby takes a holistic approach in his work to incorporate Te Ao Māori across Evaluation Associates | Te Huinga Kākākura Mātauranga, enabling bi-culturalism and enactment of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Bobby has expertise and experience in the following areas:

leading genuine partnership with iwi and hapū
connecting people, places and minds
teaching as inquiry
developing safe learning communities
strategic planning and delivery.
Bobby supports enactment of Te Tiriti o Waitangi across all facets of Te Huinga Kākākura Mātauranga to strengthen cultural capability across people, processes, systems and policy.
Believing that relationships are key to enabling the magic of connections, Bobby has been able to effect change and create safe spaces for ākonga, kaiako, and leaders to learn, grow and express themselves. He maintains that working to support whānau, hapū and iwi aspirations is critical whilst maintaining and growing the mana of all involved.
Bobby has taught in secondary schools in Taumarunui and Tauranga. He began his career as a Physical Education and Health teacher, moving into teaching Te Reo Māori me ōna Tīkanga and Te Ao Māori before progressing through leadership roles.
Bobby’s most recent experience in leadership was as Tumuaki Kaitiriwā Kaitiaki/ Kaitiaki Deputy Principal at Ōtūmoetai College in Tauranga where he forged strong relationships with Ngai Tamarāwaho and Ngāti Ranginui as Mana Whenua, that led to a major transformation of the school.
Bobby hails from Taumarunui and lives in Mount Maunganui. He is a kaupapa driven individual who is strongly whanau, hapū and iwi orientated and enjoys exploring the realms of Tane and Tangaroa, especially with his whanau.
