Amy Chakif
Based in Rotorua, Amy is an experienced education consultant who partners with primary, intermediate, and secondary schools to design and facilitate professional learning that strengthens assessment capability, builds leadership, and improves equitable outcomes for all ākonga.

As a Ministry-approved facilitator in Mathematics and Assessment, Amy brings deep expertise in curriculum, pedagogy, and facilitation design. She has led long-term partnerships with schools, supporting principals, leaders, and teachers to develop cohesive teaching and learning programs, and apply the Science of Learning to classroom and school-wide practice.
Amy is known for her ability to make complex assessment processes practical and purposeful. She supports schools to confidently use assessment tools, helping leaders and teachers move beyond surface-level summaries to interpret scale scores, track progress, moderate with dependability, and evaluate impact through both quantitative and qualitative evidence.
Grounded in evidence-informed research, Amy helps schools bring the curriculum to life and supports teachers to make meaningful shifts in their practice. Her facilitation focuses on clarity of learning, effective assessment, and purposeful pedagogy - ensuring that changes in teaching lead to stronger learner progress and more equitable outcomes.
Amy is also an accredited Leading by Learning facilitator, supporting leaders and teams to grow their collective capability, and build cultures of trust and collaboration.
Outside of her professional work, Amy enjoys time with her family and shares their strong interest in art, digital technologies, robotics, and STEM. She is actively involved in supporting creative and technical projects, from digital design to robotics competitions, and values the way these pursuits foster curiosity, problem-solving, and innovation.
