This workshop will provide opportunities to build teaching strategies that improve student understanding and teacher assessment of mathematical fluency, problem solving, and reasoning.
What to expect in this workshop?
This workshop will enable teachers understand how to strengthen teaching practice to reduce disparity and raise achievement by:
building capability in leading mathematics and statistics within and across their school
investigating effective pedagogy and strategies for teaching and assessing mathematics and statistics
making sense of curriculum refresh, related research, key concepts and mathematic proficiencies
investigating mathematical tasks
These collaboratives termly meetings are designed to provide mathematics teachers and leaders with an opportunity to connect with schools in their area, engage with current research and develop effective mathematics education for New Zealand schools.

Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is designed for teachers who are driving improvement in mathematics and statistics at their schools.
Teachers of year 1- 10. Mathematics leaders and across and within school leads - Kāhui Ako.

Registrations are $500 + GST per person. Discounts apply for three or more from the same school, kura or kāhui ako.
