Paul Drummond
Paul is a leadership advisor for schools in the Nelson, Marlborough & West Coast regions, working primarily with beginning principals.
Paul has successful teaching and leadership experience across the sector including primary, intermediate, advisory and tertiary settings. Following 17 years as the Principal of Tahunanui School, he was an independent education consultant and professional supervisor. He made significant contributions to national organisations during that time and this was highlighted by a term as National President of the NZ Principals’ Federation in 2012.
In his current role, Paul supports principals within the Top of the South region to grow their leadership capacity and confidence. His particular areas of interest, experience and expertise include:

school culture and student management
conflict resolution and trouble shooting
an empathetic ear.
Paul is married to teacher Sue and together they have two sons, Hamish and Andrew. They are all staunch Hurricanes supporters and also share the love and frustration of golf!
