Liz Gunn

Principal Mentor

Liz is a Principal Mentor and is based in Auckland.

Liz is an experienced principal who was the educational leader of Churchill Park School, in St Heliers, Auckland, for nearly fifteen years.  She was an active member and council representative for the Auckland Primary Principals Association, as well as being an active supporter of the New Zealand Principals Federation.

Her main areas of expertise and interest include:

  • promoting inclusivity

  • building quality relationships

  • developing leadership capability

  • developing local curriculum

Liz is married to Graham and they have two sons as well as two grandchildren. Liz is on the board of the Tread Lightly Caravan Trust which reflects her keen interest in environmental education.  She is also on the Squash Auckland board and she has been a keen squash player for many years. Liz is a member of Rotary St Johns and enjoys helping out with local initiatives such as food bank collections and community tree planting .  She loves spending time at the beach and on the golf course, as well as enjoying our many fabulous New Zealand great walks.
