AfL workshops 2019

Do your teachers need a refresher course on assessment for learning?
Or do you want to induct new staff into AfL?

Build on the assessment for learning capability of your staff. Let them fully explore one of the seven OECD fundamental principles of  learning.

This is a series of three whole-day workshops. The series will take participants through the key principles of assessment for learning, providing an overview of the student and teacher capabilities outlined in Clarity in the Classroom (Michael Absolum, 2006).

The series is ideal for all teachers and leaders who wish to further their understanding of assessment for learning, review their current capability, or strengthen the learning in modern learning environments. It may also be of particular interest for teachers new to schools which have embedded formative practice, or beginning teachers who wish to deepen their understanding.

The workshops are full of practical ideas and resources which support the theory and principles of assessment for learning. There will be sufficient flexibility in the workshops to address current assessment issues relevant to participants.

Between each workshop participants will have the opportunity to practise new strategies and receive on-line support from facilitators.

All workshops run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

The cost is $785 + GST for the series of three workshops or $299 + GST for a single workshop.

Location: We are running these workshops in Auckland and in Wellington in 2019.

Auckland dates: Wednesday March 27th | Wednesday June 19th | Wednesday September 11th

Wellington dates: Monday March 18th | Monday June 17th | Monday September 9th
