Science and student agency workshops

Are you looking for fun ways to teach science? Does the idea of STEM in your classroom excite you? Are you trying to increase student agency and ownership of learning in your class?

This workshop is for you!

Focusing on investigating and inquiry in science and technology, this full day workshop is designed to explore the Nature of Science within the context of different hands-on activities.

This will help unpack the Nature of Science into understandable skills and capabilities. Integrating literacy, numeracy and digital skills into the learning activities and weaving in assessment for learning strategies will help make learning clearer for you and your students.

We will make connections with the various resources that are available to schools and explain how they can be integrated into your programmes and planning.

This workshop is useful if you teach students from years 1 to 10.

Workshops run from 9am to 3pm.

Cost: $299.00 plus GST

Morning tea and lunch are provided, as are all resources.

The workshop is facilitated by Ben Laybourn, a science teacher and PLD facilitator with a passion for making science engaging for primary and secondary students.
