Student-led conferences workshops

Schools which have implemented quality student-led conferences have found them to be a tremendously effective way of reporting to parents. Student-led conferences build strong home-school partnerships, provide genuine opportunities for parents to support their child’s learning and strengthen the learning culture of the school.

At this workshop you will learn:

  • Why student-led conferences are so effective
  • The key principles which govern successful student-led conferences
  • Ways to assess your school’s readiness to implement student-led conferences
  • The different options for implementation
  • How to get started
  • How to support students to talk about their learning
  • Practical organisational tips
  • Pre-conference communication with parents
  • Preparation guidelines for students, teachers and senior managers
  • Post-conference feedback and evaluation

The workshop will also examine written reports and provide examples of plain language reporting which support the learning of every student.

The charge for the workshop is $315.00 per person. An invoice will be sent on registration.
