PaCT and LPF support for current users 2018

In 2018 the Consortium for Professional Learning (Evaluation Associates and The University of Auckland) has been contracted to support current users of PaCT and the Learning Progression Frameworks towards full implementation of the tool. We are offering the professional learning opportunity detailed below.

Please note: New users of the tools should contact

The model

We have designed a model that supports nominated leaders for schools and Kāhui Ako through a three part process. It will guide these leaders to plan and implement professional learning opportunities and processes within their context to ensure they can successfully implement the use of these tools across all three frameworks and for all students. The leaders will receive implementation ideas, tools and planning support as well as the opportunity to talk and work with other schools. The support will  use the following model

An initial 3 hour 15 minute regional workshop in Term One that will focus on:

  • developing a shared understanding of the ‘big ideas’ that underpin the PaCT and the frameworks
  • building awareness of resources available
  • managing the tool
  • facilitating the professional learning – implementation ideas
  • leading the learning – developing a plan to achieve all three frameworks and 100% of eligible students
  • an update on change and upgrades to the tool.
An in-school visit by the workshop facilitator to:

  • check on progress of the implementation plan
  • share and create implementation ideas
  • problem solve
  • support with managing the tools.

A second 3 hour 15 minute regional workshop late Term Two or early Term Three that:

  • provides an opportunity for the sharing of successes, challenges and progress
  • reviews progress against the goals of the implementation plan
  • provides updates on tool developments and enhancements
  • makes links to mentor support if appropriate.

We would love your school, kura or Kāhui Ako to be involved in this opportunity, but places are strictly limited to 28 per workshop. To provide as much opportunity for you to be involved we have suggested the following guidelines:

Schools with up to 7 staff     –     1 staff member to attend

Schools with 8-20 staff         –     Up to 2 staff members to attend

Schools with 21+ staff         –     Up to 3 staff members to attend

Kāhui Ako        –     Up to 4 staff to attend
