Corinne Hansell

Principal Advisor and Team Leader (Auckland and Tai Tokerau)

Corinne is a principal advisor for the Auckland region, working primarily with beginning principals.

She enjoys working alongside school leaders to strengthen collaborative relationships that contribute to students being strong leaders of their own learning.

Her leadership experiences in education include:-

  • Lead Principal of the Maungakiekie Kāhui Ako.

  • Principal positions over the past 14 years.

  • Ministry of Education Schooling Improvement Co-ordinator (7years).

  • ASB/APPA Travelling Fellowship 2011 with the focus of “Raising the Bar for Bilingual Learners”.

  • NZ Pasifika Principals’ Association -a foundation member.

  • 30 years of classroom teaching and senior leadership in primary and intermediate schools.

Corinne and her husband (also a principal) enjoy nothing better than to meet up with their adult children for quality family time travelling together – or hosting large extended whānau get togethers at home.
