Assessment for Learning – empowering learners through self and peer assessment and reflection

The workshop focuses on self and peer assessment and active reflection. 

Assessment for Learning is the leading pedagogical approach to build active learners and improve learner outcomes. This workshop is designed for all teachers and leaders who wish to further their understanding and use of assessment for learning. This may also be useful for teachers new to schools which have embedded formative practice or beginning teachers who wish to deepen their understanding.

The workshop supports educators to:

  • Introducing and strengthening the self and peer assessment processes in your classroom
  • Involve students in the assessment process, from administering an assessment to sharing assessment information with them
  • Teach students to reflect on their learning and their engagement in learning
All workshops run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pmThe cost is $330+ GST per person.

Morning tea and lunch are provided, as are all resources.

We are running these workshops in Auckland, Wellington and Napier in 2020.

Auckland dates: Monday 11th May

Napier dates: Wednesday 17th June

Wellington dates: Wednesday 10th June
