Learning-focused relationships workshops
Learning focused relationships are about using the considerable potential in the relationship between the teacher and student to maximise the student’s engagement with learning. It is about enabling the student to become a confident, resilient, active, self regulating learner. However, a learning-focused relationship doesn’t develop by accident. It needs to be nurtured through careful planning and design.
At this workshop you will learn:
- why learning-focused relationships are so important
- what happens when learning is not the focus
- ways to assess how strong the relationship is in your classroom
- how to ensure that key messages about learning are clearly communicated and owned by all
- practical ideas to build and strengthen the learning relationship
- how to support students to reflect deeply about their level of engagement in, and ownership of, the learning process.
There will be a practical dimension to this workshop where participants can use examples and templates to plan ways of developing learning-focused relationships with their students.
The charge for the workshop is $315.00 per person. An invoice will be sent on registration.
