Leading adult learning to improve learning for all

Mel_new_photo_croppedWe are excited to announce a collaborative partnership with internationally acclaimed educator Joan Dalton

Across New Zealand there is a collective focus on improving learning outcomes for every learner. How we lead adult learners in our schools has a critical impact on this.

If you want the adults in your team, school or Kāhui Ako to collaboratively make a more effective difference to student learning outcomes, join us for an exceptional learning experience.

This programme, designed for teams, will enable you to:

  • create a learning focused culture
  • build effective collaboration and teamwork skills
  • engage in different types of powerful conversations focused on moving learning forward
  • develop your leadership and ‘Art of Facilitation’ expertise in working with adult learners
  • deepen your understanding and use of innovation and inquiry learning with adults.
  • use a wealth of practical strategies, tools and protocols to enhance the effectiveness of the adults you lead.

Programme of learning

The programme includes:

Joan is gentle but persuasive in developing your leadership team culture, encouraging a cohesive and consistent practice in learning conversations. Joan provides detailed personalised coaching and a great set of tools which support the practice within your school context. Her commitment to you and your school's personal challenges and experiences is evident in the way she crafts her workshops to meet individual contexts as they arise. Her success is evident in the high demand for her work and she is meticulous in her seminar design so all participants have an opportunity to theorise and practise.

Mel Stopford's ability to facilitate both at the strategic and practical level is her strength. She works as well at challenging leadership thinking and provoking innovative shifts as she does leading change in middle leadership through relationship building. Mel is genuine in her approach to mentoring and facilitation and ensures all voices are at the table through thoughtful consideration of wider perspectives.

Mel's experience working alongside Joan allows for flexibility and insight which assists in tailoring delivery to meet diverse needs. They are both experienced and talented individuals who together make a great team."
