National Standards support for schools

Evaluation Associates facilitators are working with schools across the Auckland and Waikato regions to provide support with the implementation of National Standards. A range of options is available for schools, including workshops and tailored in-school support.

Links are available to:
  • resources from the Auckland region introductory and phase 2 workshops, run by a partnership of Evaluation Associates Ltd, Team Solutions and Learning Media Ltd. Click here to access Powerpoint presentations and links to relevant sites on TKI, such as fact sheets, self review tools and information on reporting to parents.
  • details of and registration for the second phase of the Auckland region National Standards workshops (terms 2 and 3), available here in the letter sent to schools in the first week of term 2. This letter describes the range of professional learning opportunities available, to meet the various needs identified from the introductory workshops.
  • a letter containing contact details of providers of National Standards support in the Waikato region. Access it here.
  • Preliminary work to align common assessment tools with the National Standards.  Details of this work in progress can be found here.

Latest Evaluation Associates resources:

National Standards assessment information from our recent National Standards seminars can be accessed in the resources section at the top right hand of the web page.

Also available are resources from the presentation given by Brenda Weal at the Hamilton National Standards conference in May. These are concerned with making overall teacher judgements from cross-curricular evidence, with the emphasis here on technology.

If you have any queries regarding National Standards resources or support, please contact our office to speak to a facilitator.
