Evaluation Associates’ consultants have expertise and experience in developing leadership capability in schools. We work in a number of schools with principals, senior managers and other school leaders to assist them to develop their leading and managing skills. Establishing strong relational trust in which all stakeholders have a commitment to the direction of the school requires considerable expertise, and often a very different set of skills from those required in teaching. In developing leadership capability, consultants work with leaders to:
· Evaluate leadership practices and stakeholder perceptions of leadership · Evaluate school-wide systems · Develop skills in leading and managing change · Create a clear vision and strategic plan for the school · Develop skills in effective communication, particularly how to have those difficult conversations · Develop skills in analysing assessment data to inform school-wide planning, targets and professional learning.
